Situated in Southern Illinois the town of Murphysboro is the home of a 100,000+ SF vacant warehouse that sits in the middle of a residential neighborhood. NuYen and the town of Murphysboro saw this as an opportunity for a new data center development. Working closely with SM Wilson and Murphy, REMIGERDESIGN looks to bring life back to a building and site that is otherwise an eyesore to the neighborhood. The design calls for the partial demolition of the existing building in order to build new and attach to the portion of the building that will remain intact. Construction is to begin in fall of 2021 and with completion by end of 2022.
